Driver Technology
Poseidon uses a custom Epique MMAG architecture 16cm subwoofer engineered specifically for this application. The 14.7mm of linear excursion in each direction delivers serious low-frequency capability from a compact driver – more excursion than the 9″ drivers in our previous generation Pulsars.
When integrated with Selene via zero-phase LR4 crossover at 150Hz, the system reaches 50Hz linear with F6 at 35Hz. The driver delivers 98dB continuous @ 50Hz from a 6.5″ cube enclosure. Think of it like adding the foundation a compact monitor can’t provide on its own – the two working together deliver full-range accuracy from a surprisingly small footprint.
System Integration
Each Poseidon is measured and calibrated individually before the complete Selene + Poseidon system receives coordinated calibration. The EXCore DSP applies digital crossovers and time alignment to ensure seamless integration across all crossover points. The result is a system that operates as a unified 3-way, not separate components sharing a room.
Because Poseidon is powered by Selene’s EXCore and receives its calibration from the same DSP, system updates can be applied over-the-air as we refine our measurement processes.
